Unspoiled, Unexplored, Unbelievable. Faroe Islands is Europe’s best kept secret and is a group of islands in the North Atlantic Ocean between Iceland and the Shetland Islands. They form a self-governing overseas administrative division of the kingdom of Denmark.
There are 17 inhabited islands and many islets and reefs. Faroe Islands offer lot of activities in the stunning nature and to landscapes that characterize the islands. Go on exploring on a bike or hike and see the stone formations rising from the sea , waterfalls and impressive mountains. The Faroe Islands also has a fantastic wildlife with puffins, whales and of course sheep. Actually a fun fact is that there are more sheep on the Faroe than there are people.
The Faroe Islands are (weather permitting) far north enough to see the glory of the Northern Lights The best time frame for viewing is from September to March.
